So often when creatives or “artsy types” become parents, they feel like they lose themselves for a while. We get so wrapped up in finding our new identity as a mom that we can forget that we are artists. Luckily, it doesn’t have to stay that way for long! Reclaiming creativity as a mom is so important, so you can find and claim your own me-time to feed your creativity and your passions.
Today I’m sitting down with Jeanette Nyberg — a blogger, artist, and creativity pusher. She splits her time between her art blog, Craftwhack, and her lifestyle and humor blog, Lifewhack. She is the author of Tangle Art and Drawing Games for Kids, a fun drawing book that is absolutely not just for kids.
Reclaiming Creativity as a Mom With Tangle Art
Jeanette and I had such a lovely conversation about fulfillment as a creative mom. She shares:
- Her transition from life as a working artist to life as a mom and how that opened the door for new ways of finding her creativity.
- The importance for moms and women to give themselves permission to go ‘off duty’ and create art or make crafts outside of the realm of being a parent.
- She’ll also introduce you to Tangle Art and share how it can be a form of fun and meditation for both kids and grownups alike!
